This hat is a true work of art. Each is unique in its own way. 
I start of by knitting the base bonnet using a wool blend yarn. It is style as a stretchy bonnet so it will sit perfectly snug on the head. I, then, individually hand-tied each different color of strands of yarn to create the perfect tone lion maine. The string helps secure the bonnet under the chin especially for kids who are wiggly worms.
